Teen injured in accident

A teenager was injured in a two-vehicle accident on state Route 87 in Moniteau County, the Missouri Highway Patrol reported.
Lorrie A. Longan, 18, of California, Mo., was taken by ambulance to Capital Region Hospital in Jefferson City after the accident Wednesday, according to the patrol. She was in good condition, a hospital spokeswoman said.
The accident occurred at 5:30 p.m. when a northbound vehicle driven by Ercell W. Wegener, 69, of California, Mo., failed to yield to Longan’s southbound vehicle as Wegener turned left into a private driveway, the report states.
