Deputies arrest two after joint narcotics investigation

Deputies arrested two people after an investigation turned up pot plants at their rural Green Ridge home, according to authorities.

Authorities arrested William P. Sindelar, 45, and Carmen L. Sindelar, 37, at their 27553 Schenk Road house Tuesday afternoon as part of a joint narcotics investigation with the Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force.

According to a probable cause statement filed in Pettis County Circuit Court, police searched the Sindelars’ house after the pair agreed to the inspection.

Inside the house, authorities found three potted plants containing suspected marijuana seeds and seven small marijuana plants.

Carmen Sindelar also gave police two bags containing suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia, according the statement.

Authorities also found a straw that tested positive for methamphetamine and a bag with a clear crystal substance that tested positive for methamphetamine.

According to the statement, authorities carried out a separate search warrant at the home on Sept. 11, 2007.

At that time, authorities reportedly found seven marijuana plants and about 10 pounds of processed marijuana.

Both William and Carmen Sindelar were charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, delivery of a controlled substance and two counts of producing marijuana — all class B felonies — and possession of a controlled substance, a class C felony.

The pair remained Thursday morning at the Pettis County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bond, a jail spokesman said.
