Colorado residents injured in Pettis County accident

Two Colorado residents suffered moderate injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 3:59 p.m. Saturday in Pettis County.



Carl J. Arnett, 18, of La Monte, was driving northbound on Pleasant Green Road, at U.S. Highway 50, and pulled into the path of a vehicle being driven by Pedro Torres, 30, of Aurora, Colo., who then struck Arnettís vehicle, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.



Torres and a passenger, Yessenia Ramirez, 34, also of Aurora, suffered moderate injuries. They and fellow passenger Triana Torres, 2, were taken by ambulance to Bothwell Regional Health Center.



Eric Richardson, 24, of Leon, Iowa, and Luis A. Torres, 11, of Aurora, were passengers in Arnettís vehicle, according to the report.



They also were taken by ambulance to BRHC.



Arnett, and Richardson were not wearing seat belts; all others were, according to the report.



An investigation continues, with charges pending.
