Trial for accused rapist moved to different date

Posted: Monday, March 4, 2013 10:06 pm | Updated: 10:09 pm, Mon Mar 4, 2013.

The trial for a man accused of raping a woman on the Katy Trail last summer has been moved to May.

During a pre-trial conference Monday, Pettis County Prosecuting Attorney Jeff Mittelhauser asked the judge to move the trial of Ronald Greer from its original March 21 date to allow the Missouri State Highway Patrol crime lab time to finish DNA testing. Greer, 44, is charged with forcible rape, forcible sodomy, resisting arrest and two counts of armed criminal action from a June 14, 2012 incident.
