Missouri State Highway Patrol seeks applicants for trooper training
The Missouri State Highway Patrol is testing for new troopers and encourages qualified people of all backgrounds to apply.
To be eligible, candidates must have a minimum of 60 college credits, or two years of federal active duty military service with an honorable discharge or two years of POST-certified, full-time law enforcement experience, according to a news release from the highway patrol.
The selection process is a multi-phase testing procedure including a written examination, a physical fitness for duty assessment, polygraph examination, background investigation and an oral interview. After a conditional offer of employment, the candidate must successfully complete a medical examination, psychological examination, psychological interview and drug screening test.
Those who complete the testing will be eligible to continue in the selection process for the 93rd recruit class that will begin training January 3, 2011.
Tests will be held March 20 at Troop A in Lee’s Summit and April 26 through May 1 at the general headquarters in Jefferson City.
