In the wake of Friday’s school shooting in Connecticut, increased security measures being taken in Sedalia schools will be discussed during Monday night’s Sedalia School District 200 Board of Education meeting.
This past weekend, doorbells were installed at the district’s elementaries, the Pettis County Early Childhood Co-Op and Sedalia Middle School “as a temporary ‘buzz-in’ solution for the buildings’ front doors,” according to Superintendent Harriet Wolfe. She added that Nightwatch Security will assess all district buildings the beginning of this week for more permanent solutions.
