Pettis County receives state grant to aid elections

Posted: Wednesday, February 10, 2010 12:00 am | Updated: 10:13 am, Wed Sep 5, 2012.

The Pettis County Clerk’s office has been awarded a grant from the office of Missouri Secretary of State Robin Carnahan to help ensure fair and reliable elections.

The $46,530 grant for Pettis County is part of a $7 million pool of money Carnahan’s office set aside to help local governments train poll workers, purchase new equipment and maintain voter lists. Pettis County Clerk Pam Doane said the money would aid in elections as well as freeing up funds from the county budget.
