PCAD OKs budget, ambulance bids

The Pettis County Ambulance District approved a 2013 amended budget and bids for the purchase of ambulances during its regular meeting Tuesday night.

PCAD Administrator Mike Gardner told directors the tax-based district is taking in an average of about $180,000 a month, with a current cash-on-hand balance of $487,545.98. According to the amended budget approved Tuesday, PCAD will take in $2.2 million over the next year and $1.7 million in expenses, including payroll/hiring, purchasing and equipping ambulances, communication infrastructure and other costs.
