Johnson County Sheriff’s Deputies are seeking help locating the owner of seven calves that were found July 12.
According to reports, six calves were found standing in the road near Southeast County Roads 300 and 301. Initially, a rancher was contacted by a neighbor who believed the cattle belonged to another rancher, but when he came to take possession of the cattle, he discovered they weren’t his.
A seventh stray calf was found on an adjoining farm.
So far no one has come forward to claim the cattle. Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 747-6469. Persons claiming the cattle will be required to provide a complete description of the calves and a location for where the cattle went missing.
