For the second year in a row, Sedalia has won the Best Adaptive Re-Use of a Historic Building award from Missouri Main Street Connection. The Missouri Pacific Railroad Depot, a $1.4 million renovation nearly 15 years in the making, turned the downtown area from an eyesore to a tourist spot said Meg Liston, administrator of Sedalia Downtown Development, Inc.

“We’re just absolutely thrilled that the judges decided the Depot was worthy of the award,” Liston said. “When the Commerce Building won last year, we knew we wanted to enter the Depot under the same category.
