A Kansas City woman faces drug charges after Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers searched her vehicle during a traffic stop on Interstate 70 in Saline County.
On Friday, troopers pulled over driver Lidia Rivas, 38, of Kansas City, for an undisclosed traffic violation. According to a highway patrol news release, “Due to reasonable suspicion, including inconsistent statements on behalf of the driver, consent to search was requested and granted.” Troopers found almost 110 pounds of marijuana located inside both rear quarter panels of the vehicle, a 2009 Chevrolet HHR.
