Boy Scouts think inside the box for Community Cafe drive

While Boy Scout Troop 54’s annual Cardboard Camp-out is an opportunity to help out the Community Café, it also gives the Scouts the chance to show off their construction skills.

Event creator Alex Eppenauer, 16, said, “There are always clever things to do with the structures” that the Scouts and adult leaders use for shelter the night of the donation drive. Cardboard boxes and plastic tarps are transformed into a cul de sac of creativity in the Walmart parking lot.
