Sacred Heart gets anonymous gift of iPad lab

Posted: Monday, August 6, 2012 11:00 pm | Updated: 11:02 pm, Mon Aug 6, 2012.

Sacred Heart students from the preschool level to seniors will have access to a mobile iPad lab this school year, thanks to an anonymous donor.

Computer lab coordinator Marlo Siron, Principal Mark Register and school grant writer Nicole Hume earlier this year made a presentation to an individual who has supported the school over the years, in an effort to secure half of the $26,000 needed to purchase an Apple Education iPad Lab Package, which includes five MacBook Air laptops, 30 iPad2 tablets and a full day of professional development instruction with Apple representatives. The plan was to pursue grant funding for the other half of the cost.
