The person of interest in the death of a 91-year-old Warrensburg resident was charged with second-degree murder.

John Marcos Ramirez, 30, of Warrensburg, was charged with the class A felony of second-degree murder in connection with the death of Maxine Ballew, who was found dead in her burning home at 622 Grover Street on Sept. 17. A pathologist’s report found Ballew had died of strangulation before the house fire.
