The baby contest, sponsored by the American Legion Post 305 Ladies Auxiliary, featured 8 classes in ages up to 25 months. Anthony Neth, of Mora, left, won first place in the boys, 0-7 months class. He takes the competition calmly, while giving his gums a workout as does his neighbor, Abel Owen, right, also of Mora. The mothers are, from left, Dawn McNeal and Heather Owen.
Cora Oelrichs, 6, and her sister, Ida, 6 months, picked up a blue ribbon in the Kiddie Parade at the Cole Camp Fair.
Another winner in his class at the Kiddie Parade is Clay Goodwan, 20 months, of Green Ridge, with his grandmother's dog, Sophie. The wagon was pulled by the boy's grandmother, Michelle Furnell, of Ionia.
The Seeds of Faith float was one of the crowd-pleasing carnation floats at the Cole Camp Fair. It was made by members of the Lutheran School Association, of Cole Camp, and shows a cornucopia of produce and a boy, Ryan Kollbaum, standing ready behind a hand tiller.
