Democrat Attorney General Jay Nixon will bring his campaign for governor to Warsaw and Sedalia for grassroots rallies and fundraisers Saturday.
Nixon is expected to outline his plan for health care, public education and the economy.
He will stop at 4:45 p.m. at the VFW Hall in Warsaw and at 6:30 p.m. at the State Fair Inn Best Western in Sedalia.
The stops in Benton and Pettis counties are part of a day long tour of western Missouri that also includes Harrisonville, Butler, Nevada and Collins.
Nixon faces Christina Anderson, of Springfield, and Daniel Carroll, of Shelbina, in the August primary for the Democratic nomination for governor.
The winner of that race will face the winner of the GOP primary. Vying for the Republican nomation are state Treasurer Sarah Steelman, of Rolla; state Rep. Kenny Hulshof, of Columbia; Richard A. Kline, of Gipsy; Scott Long, of Mountain View; and Jennie L. “Jen” Schwartze Sievers, of Jackson.
Andrew W. Finkenstadt, of Cottleville, is the lone Libertarian candidate for governor.
