A 22-year-old Sedalia man was killed Wednesday in an accident in Cooper County, according to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.



Matthew S. Hughes was westbound on state Route A in the county when his vehicle ran off the road and hit a fence, according to the report.



The vehicle overturned several times and Hughes was thrown from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at 8:33 a.m. by Cooper County Coroner Larry Jones.



Hughes was not wearing his seat belt, the report states.
