Denver resident Blake Cassidy, left, and James White, of Charlotte, N.C., take a break Wednesday after riding 108 miles from Olathe, Kan. to Sedalia. The pair were part of Journey of Hope, organized by Push America, which raises funds and awareness for people with disabilities. Cassidy and White were part of a group of 19 cyclists and eight support staff — all Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity members — riding from Seattle to Washington, D.C., this summer. White said the experience was a “once in a lifetime opportunity to change your life and the life of others.” For more information about Journey for Hope, go to pushamerica.org.
