On Wednesday, nearly 300 reservists from the 442nd Fighter Wing at Whiteman Air Force Base and a geographically separated unit at Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana returned from a 90-day deployment to Afghanistan.
The reservists, all part of the 442nd Fighter Wing at Whiteman, deployed in Dec. 28, 2011, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. The wing deployed the air expeditionary force package to include maintainers, operators and support personnel.
