A committee charged with reviewing the Sedalia Police Department’s use of force policy recommended that a similar group be appointed every four years.
The committee of “ethnically diverse citizens” appointed by the mayor that would meet every four years was one of five recommendations the group made to Police Chief John DeGonia last week. Nearly all the changes were existing practices of the Police Department, but weren’t formal, written parts of the policy, DeGonia said.
