Sedalia may annex land for tractor supply company

Posted: Sunday, July 4, 2010 12:00 am | Updated: 10:21 am, Wed Sep 5, 2012.

A new retail business coming to the area this fall may be annexed into Sedalia city limits after the city and E.W. Thompson Inc. reached a potential annexation agreement last week.

Tractor Supply Company recently closed on a property purchase to set up shop between Lowe’s Home Improvement and Holiday Inn Express in west Sedalia. Tractor Supply is a retail company headquartered in Tennessee that offers home improvement, agricultural, livestock and lawn and garden products, with six locations in Missouri, according to the company’s website.
