Rose Crawford was a teacher who gladly worked long hours and knew every student by name, according to parents, school administrators and students.

Crawford, 55, was killed in a two-vehicle accident early Friday morning in Pettis County. The Missouri Highway Patrol reported the accident occurred at 6:05 a.m. on Hwy. 50. Troopers reported Crawford was traveling southbound on Route 135 when she failed to yield at a stop sign. Crawford entered Hwy. 50 and was struck in the driver door by a vehicle being driven by Waynette Mullins, 53, of Otterville.
