After some debate about county lines, the investigation of a rural Clinton man’s death will be moved from Henry County to Benton County.
Lonny L. Mays, 67, turned himself in to Henry County authorities Monday after a shooting involving his neighbor, Rudy Romdell, 66. Romdell was found slumped in his car near the intersection of County Road 1301 and Missouri 7 Highway, dead of an apparent gunshot wound. Witnesses report Mays and Romdell both lived in the Sky Village development and had multiple disputes involving property lines and roadway maintenance.
