Church hopes youth center will be a Cornerstone for community program

A former kids’ clothing consignment store has retained its tie to younger residents, but its purpose has been transformed.

Cornerstone Baptist Church has opened the Sedalia Youth Center at 420 W. 16th. St. to “provide a safe environment for youths to spend time on the weekends, hear the Gospel and programs on issues such as substance abuse to help them deal with difficult situations they face in their lives,” said Chris Guffey, senior pastor at Cornerstone.
