Temporary bypass construction will begin Monday on U.S. Highway 65 at Heath’s Creek.
Beginning Monday, contractors for the Missouri Department of Transportation will begin grading work for the construction of temporary bypasses to the bridges over Heath’s Creek on U.S. Highway 65. The bridges are located south of state Route CC in northern Pettis County.
Once the bypasses are complete, traffic will be rerouted for construction of new decks on the bridges. One lane will be open in each direction during the work, according to a news release from the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office.
The project is expected to be completed by winter of 2010.
