Pedestrian injured in Benton County accident

A Warsaw pedestrian was injured when he was struck by a vehicle in Benton County Friday, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
Lester M. Benton, 80, was taken by ambulance to Bothwell Regional Health Center about 2:15 p.m. A hospital spokeswoman said Benton was still receiving treatment Friday afternoon.
The accident occurred when Theresa A. Bell, 41, of Warsaw, was pulling out of her driveway and backed into Benton. Bell was not injured in the accident, reports stated.
The accident occurred on Stirrup Road, just west of Ancient Cedar Drive, reports stated.
