Man struck by propeller at Truman Lake

A Warsaw man was hurt after he was thrown from a boat on Truman Lake, and struck by a propeller.

Timothy Dryer, 40, was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center, then University Hospital in Columbia, according to Missouri State Water Patrol reports. He was treated and released from University Hospital, according to a spokesman.

The accident happened at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the 10 mile marker of the Pomme Arm near Warsaw in Benton County, reports stated.

Dryer was watching a knee boarder pulled by the boat. The boarder fell and the pilot made a hard left turn, throwing Dryer from the boat. Dryer was struck by the boat’s propeller.

Robert Zimmerman, 44, of Drexel, was operating the boat.
