A lunch and auction to benefit a missing Sedalia woman raised $2,472.86 on Saturday in Convention Hall at Liberty Park.

The money was put into the Dana Bruce Reward Fund at Union Savings Bank, 101 S. Ohio Ave.

Bruce, 23, was reported missing Oct. 5. Since her disappearance, family members and local businesses have hosted events to raise funds for information leading to her whereabouts.

A Dana Bruce Reward Fund is also set up at Excel Bank, 818 Thompson Blvd.

Penny Ford, Bruce’s aunt, hosted the lunch and auction and said more than 100 people attended.

“I thought it turned out pretty good,” Ford said.

The highest bid items were a tool box that sold for $103 and a car detailing package that sold for $102.50.

Gift certificates, massage packages, T-shirts, earrings and tool sets were some of the other items auctioned.

“I do appreciate all the people who volunteered and helped,” Ford said.
