Feds offering disaster loans to local businesses

Local business owners feeling the economic impact of spring floods can get help from the federal government.
Small businesses in 96 Missouri counties — including Benton, Cooper, Henry, Lafayette, Moniteau, Pettis and Saline — can apply for low-interest disaster loans through the federal Small Business Administration, the agency announced.
The amount received from the loans, known as Economic Injury Disaster Loans, depends on the financial impact the flooding this spring had on the business.
