5 hurt in Cass County crash

Five people were injured in an two-vehicle accident Friday in Cass County. 

 

Casey N. Lane, 6, Brandon E. Lane, 7, and Amanda L. Lane, 15, all of Kansas City, were transported by ambulance to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. Stephanie L. Lane, 31, of Kansas City, was taken by ambulance to St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City. Chasity P. Mark, 18, of Sedalia, was transported by ambulance to Research Medical Center in Kansas City.

 

Mark was in stable condition Saturday, according to a hospital spokeswoman.

 

Other patient conditions were not immediately available Saturday.

 

The accident occurred at 3:45 p.m. as Stephanie Lane was eastbound on State Route 2 at Kauffman Road, near Harrisonville. Her vehicle pulled into the path of Mark’s westbound vehicle causing a head-on collision, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
