Commission OKs department hire

The Pettis County Commission on Monday signed off on a new hire for the Road and Bridge Department.
The department hired Michael G. Dawdy as a laborer at a rate of $9.88 per hour with a $50 uniform allowance, rising to $10.40 per hour after his six month probationary period.
The commission met Monday morning in their second floor chambers at the Pettis County Courthouse.
