County Commission approves hires

The Pettis County Commission on Friday approved new hires for the Road and Bridge and Sheriff’s departments.

The commission approved the hiring of Michael Burdick as a laborer for Road and Bridge and Christopher Branstetter as kitchen administrator for the Sheriff’s Department.  Both hires are effective on Monday.

Burdic will make $9.88 per hour, rising to $10.40 after six months. Branstetter will make $10.17 per hour, rising to $10.71 after six months. Both will receive a $50 uniform allowance.

Eastern Commissioner Larry Wilson and Western Commissioner Rod Lindemann signed the commission orders on the hires. Presiding Commissioner Rusty Kahrs was also at the Friday morning meeting, which took place in the commission’s chambers on the second floor of the Pettis County Courthouse, but left on business shortly before the orders were signed.
