Coroner: Man's death caused by accidental overdose
Comments 0 | Recommend 0The Sedalia man found dead by his roommate in December overdosed on a high-powered pain killer, said Pettis County Coroner Robert “Skip” Smith.
Paul Chambers, 32, was found dead Dec. 20 at his home, 227 S. Missouri Ave.
Smith said he recently received toxicology reports and determined Chambers “died from an overdose of Fentanyl,” a potent painkiller. Smith said he believes the overdose was accidental.
It appears Chambers “was possibly taking (the drug) from where he worked,” Smith said.
“He was working at different nursing homes as a nurse’s aide,” Smith said. “So he had access to Fentanyl.”
