Morgan County Sheriff’s deputies are trying to figure out the source of a bomb found in Stover on Tuesday.

Deputies found what appeared to be a live vintage bomb at 5857 Gold Nugget Road near a home, according to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Department.

Officials evacuated the area and called the Missouri State Highway Patrol Bomb Squad, State Fire Marshal’s Office and the U.S. Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit from Fort Leonard Wood.

The Army officials said the bomb was live, and they disposed of it. The sheriff and fire marshal are investigating.

People with information may call (573) 378-5481.
