Cole Camp man hurt in mo-ped crash

A Cole Camp man was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center on Thursday after a moped crash in Benton County.
Daron G. Allen, 42, was hurt in the crash, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports. He was in fair condition Friday, said a hospital spokesman.
Allen ran off the right side of Route U north of Cheese Creek at 4:45 p.m., hit a road sign and overturned. He was cited for driving while intoxicated, driving with a revoked license, careless and imprudent driving, no insurance, no helmet, failure to register a motor vehicle and operating a vehicle without a motorcycle endorsement.
