Crash near Pilot Grove injures one

A two-vehicle accident near Pilot Grove sent a teenager to the hospital.
The accident happened when a vehicle driven by Aaron J. Schuster, 16, struck from behind a vehicle driven by Vernon R. Gerke, 51, according to Missouri Highway Patrol reports. Both are Pilot Grove residents.
Schuster was taken by ambulance to Cooper County Hospital. The hospital doesn’t provide information about patient conditions.
The crash occurred when both were northbound at 9:24 p.m. Tuesday on Highway 135, two miles north of Pilot Grove, troopers reported.
