Woman dies in Lafayette County crash

A Waverly woman died Monday in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 65 in Lafayette County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

Tabitha J. Madison-Triplett, 36, was northbound on U.S. 65, about a mile south of U.S. Highway 24, when she crossed into the path of a vehicle driven by Robert Bemery, 55, of Texas.

Madison-Triplett, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at about 5:30 p.m., according to Highway Patrol Reports.
