Jefferson City man injured in I-70 crash
A Jefferson City man was injured in a highway accident at 5:13 a.m. Friday in Cooper County.
Adam M. Kliethermes, 30, was driving westbound on Interstate 70, at the 106.6 mile marker, when he left the right side of the highway, struck a road sign, continued westbound and struck a tree, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report. His vehicle then overturned, struck a guardrail and then came to a rest on its top.
Kliethermes was taken by ambulance to Cooper County Memorial Hospital in Boonville with moderate injuries.
He was wearing a seat belt, according to the report.
