TOP: Christmas decorations are complete at Broadway Presbyterian Church, 209 W. Broadway Blvd., in time for The Sedalia Symphony Society’s presentation of The Christmas Portion of George Handel’s Messiah at 3 p.m. Sunday. The presentation is a joining of the Sedalia String Ensemble and the Community Chorus.

MIDDLE: The Rev. Rob Hughes said admission for the event is free. “It’s a pretty popular event, so people need to come early.”

BOTTOM: Ministry Assistant Jan Mahin said members of the church’s congregation do the Christmas decorations with Wes Brockman, of Green Ridge, supplying the remote lighting. The Anri nativity set has been used at the church since 1968 and is a memorial to former church secretary Ona Mae Meirs.
