MIDDLE: The Sedalia Public Library was busy Monday as patrons have slowly started to make their way back to the library’s original home, located at 311 W. Third St. The library reopened its doors Dec. 16 after spending about a year at its temporary location, 515 S. Ohio Ave. after the original building was closed due to structural issues.

Hunter spent the afternoon their with his mom, Rebecca, and his siblings, Oriana and Logan, who are all frequent visitors. “It’s nice to be back to having a private area for the kids,” Rebecca said. “It has a fresh look but it has still maintained its charm, and we still have our nice mural.” Elvers’ winter reading program for kids K-12 will begin Jan. 21.
