Nicole Cooke | Democrat Members of the Smith-Cotton Junior High Student Council hold up signs to help lead their classmates in the school cheer during Thursday’s winter pep rally. The rally also included a parade of mini floats from each class, spirit contests, and blacklight performances from the dance team and the drumline. The students were decked out in black and gold, and many of them had glow-in-the-dark necklaces for the blacklight portions.
