According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the unidentified woman was traveling on Ohio Avenue at the 765 and U.S. 65 Highway Junction when she failed to negotiate the curve and drove off the road, causing her vehicle to vault over the southbound lane of 65 and overturn several times, finally landing in the median. An officer at the scene said speed was a likely factor. The woman was taken to University Hospital in Columbia for her injuries.
