After a rough winter of snow and ice that caused one of its limbs to fall, a tenacious lily magnolia blooms from ground to the sky at Broadway Boulevard and Barrett Avenue Thursday afternoon.

Two boxes of Easter lilies bound for Calvary Baptist Church sit waiting for delivery at Moore’s Greenhouse and Flowers, 3311 Green Ridge Rd. Owner Rhoda Moore said the shop would be receiving a delivery of 300 more Easter lilies today.
