Authorities arrested a Sedalia woman on several methamphetamine related charges, including distribution near a school, during the execution of a search warrant Saturday evening in the 900 block of South Kentucky Street.
Prosecutors have charged Paula M. Allen, 40, with distribution of a controlled substance near a school, distribution of a controlled substance, three counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. Bond is $100,000 cash or surety.
Ernest L. Motley, 45, of the same address, is charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. His bond is 50,000 cash or surety.
According to a Sedalia Police Department STING Unit (Strike Team Investigations of Narcotics and Gangs) press release, police, along with Pettis County Sheriff’s deputies and the Missouri State Highway Patrol, made entry through the front door at 9 p.m.
Once inside, officers discovered a large quantity of methamphetamine, prescription pills, marijuana, other paraphernalia and additional evidence that led them to believe Allen was distributing, according to the press release. The house is located within 2,000 feet of Smith Cotton Junior High School.
