Although he weighs 76 pounds, Quynten Cary, 6, of California, Mo., was insistent on holding up his 29.88-pound, Grand Champion and Champion Youth Country Cured Ham while it was being auctioned Thursday at the 60th annual Governor's Ham Breakfast. Assisting him is his mother, Debra West. On the left is Charles Rosenkrans, superintendent of the Hams, Bacon and Summer Sausage competition at the State Fair.
