When Mitzi Arnall, left, heard from her granddaughter that some kids at Heber Hunt Elementary School did not have decorated boxes for Valentine's Day she went into action. "I felt bad for the little kids," she said. A call to the school's social worker, Carrie Howieson, who surveyed all the teachers in the school, showed that there were more than 40 kids who did not have Valentine boxes. Arnall fired up her Facebook and enlisted members of her extended family to conduct a Valentine's box party. Bothwell Regional Health Center and Vincent's Footwear donated suitable boxes and Arnall went to a discount store and bought tissue paper and ornaments. "It's important for kids not to feel they are different from others," Arnall said. The group worked about 7 hours decorating 50 boxes which were delivered to the school Wednesday afternoon. Other contributing members of the extended family, not pictured, are Megan Moon, Keisha Franklin, Lori Deal and Cheyenne Smith. The school's PTA is sponsoring Valentine's Day entertainment throughout the day on Thursday.
