 Sedalia police patrol officer Michael Elwood, 30, left, is congratulated by police Chief John DeGonia after being named the department's Officer of the Year. The honor was given during a department-wide awards ceremony and potluck dinner Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church Celebration Center.
