The Central Methodist University mens basketball team fell 90-58 in an exhibition game with Division I Louisiana-Lafayette on Monday at the Cajundome.

Mitchell Farr scored 26 points forthe Eagles on 8 of 15 shooting from the field including 4 of 10 from 3-point range but he was matched by Shawn Long’s 26 points to lead the Rajin’ Cajuns. Elfrid Payton added 17 points for Louisiana-Lafayette.

Louisiana-Lafayette led 46-26 at halftime as the Eagles were held scoreless the first five minutes of the game until Farr hit a jumper. He scored 20 int he first half.

The Rajin’ Cajuns held a 54-26 edge on points in the paint and an 18-4 edge in second-chance points, outrebounding the Eagles 42-35.

This is the Eagles’ second Division I opponant this season. CMU lost to Utah State on Oct. 25.

Central Methodist will visit Lindenwood-Belleville at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
