The semifinal round of the Stover girls basketball tournament has been rescheduled.

The games were originally set for tonight but had to be changed because Monday’s first-round games were moved to today.

The championship semifinals, now set for Friday, are scheduled for 6 and 7:30 p.m. with the consolation semifinals set for 4:30 and 9.

The trophy games have been moved from Friday to Saturday. The seventh-place game is set to begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by the first-place game at 11 a.m., the third-place game at 12:30 p.m. and the championship game at 2 p.m.

Otterville tournament

Tristen Patterson and Kendra Vaughn combined for 45 points Tuesday night, and the top-ranked Tuscumbia Lady Lions beat Northwest 80-18 in the first round of the Otterville Holiday Classic girls basketball tournament.

Patterson scored a game-high 23 points, and Vaughn had 22.

In Tuesday’s other girls game, second-seeded Slater beat Lincoln 55-25.

The tournament continues today with Northwest facing Otterville at 6:30 p.m. On Thursday, Tuscumbia (8-0) will face Otterville at 5 p.m. and Slater will meet Prairie Home at 8 p.m.


Otterville tournament

Fourth-ranked Otterville opened the Otterville Holiday Classic boys basketball tournament with a 51-48 win over Lincoln on Tuesday night at Otterville High School.

The tournament resumes today when Tuscumbia faces Lincoln at 5 p.m. and Slater takes on Northwest at 8 p.m.

Stover Tournament

Eldon 78, Stover 73, 2 OT

Stover pushed Eldon to double overtime before falling 78-73 on Tuesday in the first game of the Stover Tournament.

The game was tied 61-61 after regulation and 69-69 after the first overtime.

Garrett Goetze scored 39 points to lead Stover. Lane Avery added 17.

Stover will face Osage at 9 p.m. Thursday.

Cole Camp 72, Green Ridge 65

Tanner Oelrichs scored 27 points to lead Cole Camp past Green Ridge 72-65 in their first game of the Stover Tournament on Tuesday. Alex Pritzel, Koby Kneivel and Connor Balke each scored 10 for the Bluebirds.

Axton Harding scored 23 for the Tigers with Connor Dillon adding 15 and Hunter Niceswander scoring 11.

Green Ridge will continue tournament play against Russellville at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

Cole Camp will face Versailles at 6 p.m. Thursday.


S-C match rescheduled

The Center, O’Hara and Smith-Cotton double-dual wrestling match has been rescheduled for 5 p.m. today at Smith-Cotton High School.

The match was originally scheduled for Monday but was postponed because of the weather.


S-C meet canceled

The Smith-Cotton girls swim team’s meet at Center High School in Kansas City was canceled.

The meet was scheduled to be held Tuesday night.
