A pair of Sedalia youth wrestlers took first place in the Boonville Tournament on Dec. 28.
Caleb Bush won the 10-and-under 70-pound weight class and Tanner Harris won the 12-and-under 110-pound class.
In the 6-and-under age group, two Sedalia wrestlers took second while three others took fourth. Adarein Hawkins was second in the 45-pound weight class. Bradley Cooper was second in the 55-pound weight class. Zander Heaton was fourth at 50 pounds, Clay Crooker was fourth at 55 pounds and Cameron Thomlinson was fourth at 60 pounds.
In the eight-and-under group, Sedalia took home a third-place finish and two fourth-places.
Brayden Butts was third at 65 pounds and Alexander Herrick took fourth. Johnathen O’Connell was fourth at 70 pounds.
In the 10-and-under group, Lane Simmons was third at 70 pounds, Eric Jones was third at 80 pounds, Tyler Denny was third at 120 pounds, Riley Blankenship was fourth at 75 pounds and Kali Butts was fourth at 95 pounds.
In the 12-and-under group, Izac Vaughn was second at 60 pounds and Ethan Paxson and Zachary Simmons tied for third at 130 pounds.
In the 14-and-under group, Hunter Snyder was second at 130 pounds, Gunner Saulbeamer was third at 115 pounds, Dylan Wolfe was third at 125 pounds, Tyler Freitas was third at 135 pounds and Brennan Akeson was fourth at 105 pounds.
